Halo Highlight: Final Exam Schedule and Summer Essentials
Dear Saints Families,
It's hard to believe just one week remains in the school year! It's been a wonderful year at St. Louis Catholic filled with many accomplishments both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage our students to finish strong on their Final Exams, which begin tomorrow (Friday, May 17). Here is the schedule:

Students can find their Summer Assignments posted on our school website here. This page will be continuously updated as our teachers finalize these assignments!
Our school office will be open during the summer on Mondays-Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. We will close Memorial Day (May 27) and the week of July 1-5. Please take note of the following key dates when students return for the 2019-2020 school year:
Freshman Fun Day - Monday, July 29, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SLCHS
New Student Tablet Training - Tuesday-Wednesday, July 30-31 (more details to come in next week's Halo Notes)
Student Orientation- Thursday, August 1, (Juniors & Seniors- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Freshmen & Sophomores- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Fall 2019 Dual Enrollment/Advanced Placement Students
If your student is taking Dual Enrollment and/or Advanced Placement courses in Fall 2019, please read the following message from Ms. Tricia Barrow:
First, I wish you all the best as you enter into exam week and hopefully, a restful, fun summer!
Students MUST complete the following steps prior to the fall semester:
Complete ALL steps to the application process (including the McNeese online application) by the start of school; click here to see the step-by-step process on our website - go to slide 8 of the PowerPoint.
Pay Dual Enrollment tuition by the schedule change deadline at the start of the fall semester.
Create an AP account this summer using a personal email address.
Review the upcoming changes to the AP program.
Watch for further communication including a revised AP contract.
Pay AP fees by the September 2019 deadline; a $40 late fee will be assessed to those who do not pay on time.
Please watch for further communication regarding payment options for both DE and AP, and again refer to our DE/AP PowerPoint for more detailed information regarding the upcoming school year and both program requirements. Thank you for your cooperation!

Join St. Louis Catholic in Ireland!
This trip next summer is open to all students, parents and family members interested in traveling to Ireland in June 2020. The fees include airfare from Lake Charles to Ireland, hotels, tour guide, two meals a day and admission into numerous exhibits. We are trying to secure our group prior to June 1st. Class of 2020 - Schedule Your Senior Portraits at Puckett's Now
Dear Class of 2020 Parents and Students,
Jill Mahoney, our school photographer at Puckett's Photography, is giving St. Louis Catholic families an opportunity to book appointments for senior yearbook portraits before she opens her schedule up to other schools this summer. You received an email this morning with details and a flyer. Please call Puckett's at 337-477-9696 to schedule your appointment and ask any questions.
Tech Talk - Computer Turn-in Instructions
Below, you will find computer turn-in instructions for underclassmen:
After their last FINAL EXAM, they will turn in computer (with pen) ONLY to the library.
They will fill out a small paper with name, grade, and computer issues to place on top of computer.
If they need to replace the pen, they need to pay the office & get the receipt to place on top of computer.
Students will KEEP the BAG and CHARGER in a safe place AT HOME over the summer.
In order to get their computer for the 2019-2020 school year, they will need to bring their bag and charger to Orientation. That will be the “ticket” to pick up the computer. If anything needs to be replaced, refer to the price list below.

Wrestling Summer Workouts Start June 3
Come be a part of the Saints Wrestling Team!
Summer workouts will be Monday-Thursday from 10:15-11:30 a.m. starting Monday, June 3, for ALL wrestlers (football and non-football). Incoming freshmen and new wrestlers are encouraged to come to the workouts and see what it’s like to be a member of Coach Terry Gage’s Wrestling Powerhouse team!
