Applying for Paid Summer Research Opportunities in STEM at Augsburg University

This will be a virtual event designed to help students learn more about how to apply for summer research opportunities nationally as well as locally. This event will support local research programs in working toward equitable participation in their programs by sharing information about research opportunities for summer 2022.
Biomedical Engineering Summer Research Program The Biomedical Engineering Department and Center for Biomedical Informatics at Wake Forest School of Medicine will offer several summer research opportunities in 2022 focusing on Imaging and Mechanics-based Projects on Accidental Cases of Trauma (IMPACT) and other biomedical engineering and informatics topics. Students selected for this Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program will receive a stipend and on-campus housing. Exciting biomedical engineering projects are offered on topics including:
Injury prediction model development
Military, sports and spaceflight safety
Osteoporosis prevention
Biomechanical characterization of injury mechanisms
Diagnostics and therapies for cancer patients
Biomedical informatics

Applying for Paid STEM Internships through SciTech
Tuesday, November 16th or 18th, 2021

This workshop will explain how to effectively complete the application process for the SciTech Internship Program. The workshop will be available virtual or in-person.
This event is presented by the SciTech Internship Program. The mission of SciTech is to connect college students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to paid internships in small to mid-sized companies.

Coming off their successful July summit, Minneapolis-based Black Tech Talent will host a community tech event:
Saturday, November 20, from 12:00 - 4:30 PM p.m.
Minneapolis College
Activities at the event feature robots, virtual reality, coding, gaming, career opportunities, and more. With an emphasis on finance, health, gaming and career exploration it's appropriate for all ages.
