:) PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM (:
HERE WE WILL SHOW HOW TO USE THE THEOREM
THE HISTORY📰
The theorem all started back in Ancient Greek. A person named Pythagoras was the first person to show proof of the Pythagorean therorem. That is why Pythagoras was named after the theorem.
HOW TO MAKE THE EQUATION
First we would plug the numbers in. So for a(squared) we would put in 3. Then for b(squared) we would put 4. Finally for c(squared) we would put 5.
HOW TO SOLVE THE EQUATION
So now that we plugged the numbers in,we now solve them. So for 3(squared) we would multiply 3 by 3 which equals 9. Then for 4(squared) we would multiply 4 by 4 which equals 16. After we would multiply 5(squared) which is 25. Afterward we would add 9+16 which equals 25;so that equals the same as c(squared) (25). So now we know that 3(squared)+4(squared)=5(squared)
VOCABULARY YOU MIGHT SEE
Here is the Vocab you might see.
Hypotenuse- the longest side of the triangle;connects to the legs
Legs- the two sides of the triangle that makes the right angle
Right angle- it's a 90 degree angle
