General Information:
- Parents, our phone systems have recently been changed. With this we are experiencing some issues with voicemail and calling at school. Please be patient as we work through learning the new system. Even some things like collecting messages for the office about attendance are delayed - we do apologize for the inconvenience.
- Please be certain your student comes to school each day with a mask (an extra mask is a good idea also!)
- Please be certain your student comes to school with a fully charged iPad. We can make arrangements to keep the device here at school if that would help
- You may notice an increase in phone calls home each evening. We will be making a concerted effort to note students who are late to class by marking them tardy. Please work with your student to support us in helping them arrive to class on time and ready to participate.

STEM MENTORSHIP
Oraculi, a non-profit created by a team of Rochester Public School alumni, is offering a free STEM virtual mentorship program that pairs Friedell Middle School students interested in research and scientific inquiry with young professionals and Rochester Public Schools alumni. This program's mission is to inspire and foster the next generation of scientists, engineers, and thinkers, and we hope you will share information about this mentorship opportunity with your students, particularly those who may not have ways to explore their STEM interests with parents or others in their community.
During the mentorship program, students will work virtually in small groups with a mentor to develop and complete an individual or team research project. No prior research experience is necessary - all students need to bring is curiosity. Students in this program will be well positioned to present their findings at the 2022 Rochester Regional STEM Fair in February 2022, if they would like.
Complete registration information about this free program is available at: https://rochester.ce.eleyo.com/course/17863/2021-2022-middle-school/oraculi-stem-mentorship-gr-6-12
