Welcome Back!

We are so excited to be reunited with our students, even though it's a virtual reunion! It has been exciting to see students online this week in our Google Meet sessions each day. Teachers and students have been getting to know one another and getting ready for a great year of learning!

We want to thank you all for your patience and understanding as we have been working out all the kinks that come with virtual learning. Students, if you are still unable to log into SchoolsPLP or you are having any problems accessing your coursework, please email your teachers directly. Teachers will be able to get you the information you need and will relay details of technical issues to the appropriate person.

We are all in this TOGETHER, and we're going to make it a great year at Hazel Green High School!

Hazel Green High School Administration

Big picture

Dr. Quinn Headen, Principal

We want to introduce our administration!

Dr. Quinn Headen is the principal of Hazel Green High School. Stacy Junjulas, Tausha Knight, and Jennifer McKinney are our three assistant principals.

You may notice that two of our assistant principals are new this year. Mrs. Stacy Junjulas was an assistant principal at HGHS two years ago and is back this year in her new role of Athletic Director. Mrs. Tausha Knight is also a familiar face at HGHS. Mrs. Knight was a teacher at HGHS a few years ago. We are so glad to have both of them back at HGHS!

Other Virtual Learning Information

MiFis (Internet Hotspots)

We are waiting on MiFis to arrive. As soon as they arrive, we will announce a date for pick up. We will do another drive-thru event at the front of the school to distribute MiFis to students who have requested them.

*We will have a limited number of MiFis.

Schedules

Schedules were mailed to your homes on Friday, August 14. If you did not receive a schedule in the mail, you may call the school. You can also see your classes by logging into INOW.

Usernames & Passwords

All HGHS students' passwords have been reset to TrojansLUNCH#. For example, a password might be Trojans12345. Be sure to capitalize the T in the word Trojans and put an s at the end of the word. Your username and lunch number are printed on a label attached to your schedule.

Free Internet Access for Students in National School Lunch Program

If your student(s) is enrolled in the National School Lunch Program (Free/Reduced Lunch), be looking for a voucher in the mail for free internet access. The voucher should arrive to your address by the end of August.

The Alabama Broadband Connectivity for Students program will provide free internet access for eligible students who are enrolled in the National School Lunch Program through their schools. We are working to make the process as easy as possible for students who choose to participate.

If your student is enrolled in the National School Lunch Program through their school, you are already enrolled in the Alabama Broadband Connectivity for Students program. You will receive a prepaid voucher by U.S. mail by the end of August. Then all you’ll have to do is call the internet service provider of your choice, give them your voucher code, and sign up for service.

If you have recently moved, please call your school to update your address.
