November Conferences

We postponed our conferences in October, but our teachers are excited to talk with you at our conferences during the week of November 16.

Use this Sign-up Genius to reserve a virtual conference time with your child's teacher. Conferences will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. each day from Monday through Thursday the week of November 16. You will meet with the teacher by using the same Zoom link that your child uses during the day (you may have to wait in the Zoom waiting room until the teacher lets you in, so please be patient).

Conferences are each 20 minutes long. We value this chance to talk with you about your child's progress, especially as we near the end of first trimester.

NOTE: Be sure to choose the correct teacher on the Sign-up Genius. Scroll across the tabs on top to find the teacher(s) you need. The first tab that will open is for 4K conferences.

Online Scholastic Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair has gone online! Starting on November 9, you will be able to place orders for new books and support the Lakeview PTO. Online orders of at least $25 will ship free directly to your house. Click this link for more information about the book fair - starting on November 9, there will be a "shop" button, so please wait until then (this is how our PTO will receive Scholastic Dollars that directly benefit classrooms).

To celebrate literacy, our Lakeview teachers will be posting nightly, bedtime read-alouds during the Book Fair. You won't want to miss these! In order to see them, you will need to "like" the PTO Facebook page. Like the PTO Facebook page now so you are ready for these bedtime stories!

Spirit Days for Reading!

To celebrate reading, literacy, and our book fair, we invite students to participate in the following spirit days. Dress up in the following ways - even on Zoom!

Monday, November 9 - Dress as your favorite character from a book

Tuesday, November 10 - Hat Day (like the "Cat in the Hat" but any hat will do)

Wednesday, November 11 - READ, White, and Blue day to celebrate Veteran's Day (Get it? Wear red, white, and blue today)

Thursday, November 12 - Pajama Day & Stuffed Animal Day (Snuggle up and READ)

ROAR Awards

Do you have a Lakeview staff member that you would like to nominate for a ROAR Award? Of course you do ... you probably have 2 or 3 in mind right away! Our PTO graciously recognizes staff members that you nominate and one of the nominations each month receives a gift certificate. Your kind words mean a lot to our staff, so please use this link to submit a ROAR Award.
