Congratulations to Veeksha B. for winning first place for 6th grade in the county for the Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition! Her winning submission, “Hunted by History,” is a historical fiction piece in a diary format describing a young girl’s experience living in a Japanese Internment camp during WWII after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

We are so proud of you and your wonderful accomplishment!

It is time for the election of a new parent member to our School Governance Council. The School Governance Council has one parent/guardian position open for election. Parents or guardians of students who will be attending our school during both the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years are eligible to run for the parent/guardian SGC position. Our School Governance Council (SGC) plays a critical role in the success of our school. The SGC works with school leadership and the community to help determine the long-term direction of the school, design innovative solutions to increase academic achievements, and serve as school ambassadors to the local community.

Specifically, the School Governance Council has the following powers:

• Create, approve, and monitor the implementation of the school strategic plan
• Manage the Request for Flexibility process
• Approve the annual budget recommendations and related allocations
• Participate in the hiring of the principal, in the case of a vacancy
• Provide annual feedback to the Area Superintendent on principal performance

If you are interested in running for a position on the School Governance Council, please complete and submit a Parent/Guardian Candidate Declaration Form .

We are excited about the work and value-add of our SGC.

조지아 마일스톤 시험이 4월 25일 월요일 월요일부터 시작 됩니다. 이 시험은 Language arts, Mathematics, Science, 그리고 Social studies 과묙에서의 능력을 평가하는 시험으로 다음 학년으로 진학하는 데 중요한 시험입니다. 지난 2년 동안의 데이타 정보가 없기 때문에 이번 년도 시험 점수가 풀튼 카운티 학군의 기초로 자리 잡게 될 것입니다. 풀튼 카운티 학군에서는 모든 학생들이 이 시험에 출석하여 치를 것을 권장합니다.

• 초등학교: 5월 4일 -12일
• 중학교: 4월 25일 - 5월 6일
• 고등학교 ( American Literature/Composition, Algebra I, Biology, & U.S. History): 4월 25일 - 29일

마일즈 스톤 시험 준비 관련해서, 학생들은 반드시 학생들의 컴퓨터를 재점검 해야 합니다. 수업중에 컴퓨터를 보다 실용적으로 이용하는데도 도움이 될 것입니다. 학교에서는 학생들이 매주 월요일마다 수업 후 집에 돌아가면 본인의 컴퓨터를 재점검 하기를 권장합니다.

학생들이 컴퓨터 업데이트 재점검하는 방법:

1. 스크린맨 아래에서 “Check for Updates”를 찾기.
2. “Check for Updates"라고 되어 있는 회색 버튼 누르기.
3. 알아 둘 것: 컴퓨터는 꼭 밧데리가 충분히 있어야 하고 열고서 전원을 켜 놓은채로 해야 함. 만약 컴퓨터가 닫혀 있거나 sleep 모드로 되어 있는 채로 업데이트를 진행 한다면, 업데이트가 멈출 것임을 기억할 것. 밧데리가 충분하지 않아도 업데이트가 완벽하게 진행 되지 않을 수 있음.
4. 업데이트가 완료되면, 컴퓨터를 다시 restart할 것.

FCS COVID 19 Reporting

Due to the ever-changing nature of this pandemic, the district will continue to monitor COVID data and recommendations, consult with public health officials, and make additional adjustments as necessary. If your child is sick, please keep them home. Families are still required to report a confirmed positive case of COVID-19, a pending COVID-19 test result (regardless of the reason for testing), and a direct contact with a person who is COVID-19 positive. FCS student/parents must use the Parent Reporting Portal to make the COVID-19 report.

When: April 18th to April 20th
