Note from our Educator, Brett Kreifels
As some of you know, I had the opportunity to interview for the 4H coordinator position at Douglas-Sarpy. This position would involve managing the largest 4H program in the state. I was offered the position and I have accepted the position. My official start date is January 1st.
It was an extremely hard decision but it really just came down to which position was going to better equip me to move me up in the extension system. I will be still around for a time to finish some things I've started and will commit to making the transition to a new extension educator seamless. I was told the search and hiring of a new educator will be swift.
Thank you all for a wonderful year at Cass County and for all of your expertise and encouragement. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
Thanks
Brett

KUDOS to Plattsmouth Diversity 4-H Club
Note from Roseann Dobesh-DeGraff, leader:
Twelve Plattsmouth Diversity 4-H Club members completed 335 Christmas / Birthday Cards for Senior Citizens/Shut In's and Veterans for this holiday season (and the year). This is one of our BIG community service projects and lets our youth experience the giving back to our elders and community, plus it gets us into the Christmas spirit. Several of our Clovers also helped this evening and Parents. The Cards will be delivered to CassCo Arms, Woodbridge Assisted Living, Plattsmouth Care & Rehab, as well as The Eastern NE Veterans Home.

Cass County Shooting Sports - More Leaders Needed
We are nearing capacity in our county’s Archery program, and are in search of more leaders for the upcoming year! We are looking for adults who are interested in becoming 4-H certified in Archery and are able to start a new club. We can help guide you through the process. There is an upcoming training session in Lincoln in January – see details HERE. You do not have to be a parent or a current leader to apply – community members are welcome! If you or someone you know are interested, please send an email to Tracy at tracy.ensor@unl.edu.
