Parent Book Study Update
Arrival Procedure Changes
Be aware of students walking in the drop off and pick up crosswalk.
Do not block crosswalks.
Do not block the street or prohibit traffic flow.
No left turn at the car rider entrance/exit. (See Map)
Cars may turn left at the bus entrance. (See Map)
Barry staff will be directing cars to move further around the corner in the car rider line toward the front door. Students will still enter and exit through the car rider door.
Be patient with each other as students are dropped off and picked up.
Safety is our number one priority.
MOCSA
MOCSA will be at Barry to present Consent in Relationships to 8th grade. They will be here on March 26th during 8th grade social studies classes. If there are any questions, please contact Stephanie Richison richisos@platteco.k12.mo.us or Becky Brandt brandtr@platteco.k12.mo.us
Consent in Relationships: Students learn the definition of consent and the role boundaries play in healthy relationships. Laws, personal responsibility, and resource information are discussed.

Pirates ROCK Character Trait: SELF CONTROL
Pirates R.O.C.K. (Raising Outstanding Character Kids) is a program designed to surround our families with examples of strong character traits through school experiences, at home, and reinforced in their community. Each month our community focuses on a specific character trait and students are recognized for exhibiting these traits: Self Confidence, Pride, Responsibility, Citizenship, Compassion, Individuality, Self Control, Integrity, Perseverance, Respect, Honesty, and Cooperation.
February's #PiratesROCK trait is SELF CONTROL: displaying your emotions and behaviors in a positive way
Character Warms The Heart
Character Warms the Heart Week - February 11-14
February 11-14 is our Pirates ROCK "Character Warms the Heart" week, when we warm up with our good character with fun spirit week activities and collect items for our Treasure Chest resource center to help PCR-3 families in need. We'll be collecting Deodorant at Barry School. We also encourage you to kick off the week by attending the PCHS Pirates home basketball game on February 8 - Pirate fans will receive some Pirates ROCK giveaways!

Spring Parent Teacher Conferences
Spring conference are right around the corner. 6th-8th conferences will be invite only. If you do not receive an invite from your child's team of teachers and would like a conference, just contact our office.
