Rancho Elementary School
RES Modernization/Construction Update
March 19, 2021
Modernization Project Status
The modernization project at Rancho Elementary School is progressing as planned. Progress is being made on the new and renovated structures. Though there are labor and supply challenges industry-wide due to COVID-19, we continue to be fortunate to date on the Rancho project and have not encountered any issues that would prevent the site from opening for fall 2021, as scheduled.
The next update will be shared after spring break.
A Message from Principal Hernandez
I have missed seeing your faces this year! However, I am confident that you have been in good hands. Who could have imagined the year we would have for 20/21?! As you know, I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve the families, students, and staff of Tony Tobin Elementary School this school year during RES's closure. When I transitioned to Tobin, I had the option to remain beyond the current school year. I will cherish my "pandemic school family" always as we have gone through a truly unique experience! It has always been my intention to return to my RES family, and today, I shared with the Tobin staff and families that I will return to RES as principal next year.
I have been steadily keeping track of the RES project and am apprised of its progress. All things look good for on-time completion, and I know we are all excited to transition to our beautifully renovated campus. What a great thing to look forward to after this year!
I wish you all a restful spring break!
Principal Hernandez
