Beluga Whales

My first fact about Beluga Whales is, Beluga Whale's oldest relitaves lived about 10 million years ago! My second fact about a Beluga Whale is, they can be about 10 to 15 feet long. My third fact about a Beluga Whale is, that some can weigh more than 3,000 pounds!!! My next fact about a Beluga Whale is, Belugas have a lump on their head. The lump is called a melon. Scientists think that the melon helps with echolocation. My next fact about a Beluga Whale is, they breathe through blow holes that are on their heads. Have you ever seen water shoot out of the ocean? That is probably a Beluga Whale blowing through their blow hole! My next fact about a Beluga Whale is, Belugas can dive over 2,000 feet deep! Sploosh! My next fact about Beluga Whales is, they eat pretty much anything as long as it is healthy for them and easy for Belugas to catch, such as: Squid, fish, jellyfish, and sea snails. My very last fact about Beluga Whales is, Beluga Whales are endangered. They are endangered because of humans. Some people are bringing in ships. (That could cause oil spills!) Some people are building dams to stop the water, and without water, Belugas will DIE! People are also building new houses, apartments, and shops along the shorline. Some of the ships are spilling oil, and oil can kill--well, oil WILL kill the Belugas living in the ocean. Oil will not just kill Beluga Whales, but it will kill all of the living organizams living in the sea. People think oil is so important to them! But oil is very dangerous. Now Beluga Whales are becoming very rare! PLEASE HELP SAVE BELUGA WHALES!
