Prior to Dec. 2, please be sure to preview the video. You will use the discussion questions provided for you after viewing the video. The purpose of Relationships Day is to strengthen the teacher-student bond. The activities you choose to have past the video and discussion are completely up to you. For those who are departmentalized, you will show the video and discuss the questions with your morning groups. It is expected that you do something with your afternoon students to support the relationship you have with those students as well.
Also, you may wear jeans with your Dodd shirt. Let's wear the rainbow colored ones from PTA.

Thanksgiving
Dear Dodd family,
Thanksgiving is about thankfulness, as we all know. There are so many things to be thankful for…air in our lungs, a loving family, a gracious God, the most important job imaginable, good friends, new babies on the way (Yay Campbell family!), Usher Raymond IV (thank you Ms. Banks), the list goes on. You’ve been given the opportunity to post what you are thankful for this season, and it has been wonderful to celebrate those.
You already know I believe you have the most important and the most challenging job on the planet. I sit with each of you weekly and listen to your passion for your students pour out of you, sometimes with cheers and sometimes with tears, but nonetheless, you are talking about kids. Kids that aren’t related to you, but ones that relate and connect to you because you mean something to them. You are a part of their families in a forever way and that is what I’m thankful for. That I get to share you all with our families at Dodd. I can’t imagine better people to share with our community. You all are my family. I celebrate you, listen to you, hug you, help you grow professionally, sometimes discipline you (not my favorite thing to do), but it is all done with love in my heart. Thank you for being my family and for giving me something to be thankful for EVERYDAY, not just on Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your week off. Enjoy time with your very own family. And remember, you are a blessing to so many. Happy Thanksgiving, my Dodd Dinosaurs.
Respectfully,
Nicole
