Career Center Recommended Summer Goals

Alumni Resume Book- DAWGLink posting #62992

This is an online event.

All UGA Alumni are invited to submit their resume to this book, which will be distributed to employers attending the UGA Alumni Career Fair on June 10, 2015 at the Gwinnett Center.

This resume book is only open to UGA Alumni.

Feel free to drop in during Alumni Resume Critique Day on Wednesday, May 20th between 10am-3pm at the Atlanta Alumni Center, located at 3475 Lenox Rd. NE; Atlanta, GA to have your resume reviewed by a Career Center staff member.

Bethany Bagley Mills is the UGA Alumni Career Services Director and she is based out of Atlanta. If you are a UGA alumni and would like to schedule an appointment you can do so ONLINE and it can be conducted by phone or in person in the Atlanta Alumni Center office. To make an appointment, follow the instructions on the Alumni Resources page on the UGA Career Center website.

2015 Judson Women's Leadership Conference - FREE

The Judson Women's Leadership Conference was created to help young women, entering or already in the workforce, achieve greatness in their lives by providing insight and tools which will help them become leaders in their respective fields. This full day conference has been designed to create a great learning environment to share and analyze the unique strengths, challenges, and opportunities facing women. Participants will discover powerful strategies to move their leadership forward as they interact with peers and deepen understandings of the practices of successful women.

Spend a Week at Harvard Business School

Participate in the Summer Venture in Management Program (SVMP), sponsored by Harvard Business School (HBS). SVMP is a one-week management training program for rising college seniors designed to increase diversity and opportunity in business education. Participants are members of groups typically underrepresented in business schools and corporate America (e.g., African American, Latino, Native American, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender). HBS covers on-site expenses, and corporate sponsors typically cover other costs associated with participating in the program.

SVMP 2015 will take place from June 20 – June 26, 2015. The application deadline is Monday, May 11, 2015.
