Parent Input
Parents are invited to give input into the decision making process for class assignments for the 2019-2020 school year. To give input, parents should send a letter or an email to Dr. Zickefoose. That input should include your child’s learning style and/or the learning environment that suits him/her best. The classroom teachers and other staff that work directly with students collaborate, create class lists, and then submit them to the principal for final approval. A lot of time and attention is dedicated to this process in an effort to ensure that our classrooms are set up for success!
Including the name of a teacher does not guarantee placement in that teacher’s classroom.
The deadline for parent input is Friday, April 12, 2019.

Track and Field Practice has started for Fifth and Sixth Grade girls and boys!
Practices start right after school and end at 5:00. Practice will be take place on Monday-Thursday only on the big field behind the school.
Permission slips went home with students, so, please check your student's backpack. A t-shirt order form will be included with the permission slip. If your student played basketball at school this year or last and still has their t-shirt then it is not necessary to purchase a new t-shirt.
If your student plays another sport, such as soccer, softball, or baseball, please know that school track is fairly low-key and many students in the past have participated in school track as well as their other sport and they've been able to keep up with their school work.

DO YOU KNOW THE DANGERS OF VAPING?
If you don’t know the difference between a JUUL, e-hookah, and a vape pen, you’re not alone. However, a growing number of teenagers know the difference.
Locally, we’ve seen an increase in incidents involving student vaping. Due to the negative health effects vaping can have on our students, we take this issue very seriously and want you to be aware of the dangers.
Use the following resources when speaking to your child about the risks and consequences associated with vaping and plan to attend our Parent Night to learn more.
- Teens and E-Cigarettes
- Quick Facts About JUUL
- Surgeon General’s Advisory on E-Cigarette Use Among Youth
- Boise School Distrift Policy #3233 - Drug, Alcohol & Tobacco Use
With the increase in incidents involving student vaping, we will continue to take a proactive approach in providing educational resources related to the harmful effects of vaping to both students and families.
WHAT YOU CAN DO? ATTEND PARENT NIGHT!
Plan now to attend a free Parent Night to learn more about vaping and the dangers and health risks associated with what the U.S. Surgeon General describes as a "national epidemic".
