What Starts Here Changes The World...

Do you have questions about the MASK status in CISD?

Here are some district bullet points for your awareness. Please remember that CISD notifications will be the most accurate and reflective of any policy decisions.

  • While CISD processes and reviews Governor Greg Abbott’s COVID-19 related executive orders announced March 2, the wearing of masks by all of our employees, students and visitors as outlined in the CISD Return to School guidelines at www.coppellisd.com/returntoschool remains in place.

  • The social distancing, hand washing and other protocols outlined at www.coppellisd.com/returntoschol also are continuing.

  • CISD also is awaiting guidance from the Texas Education Agency, which announced it would share updated public health guidance this week, specifically late Thursday afternoon.

  • The TEA statement March 2 from its Twitter account — Statement from the Texas Education Agency: “Governor Abbott’s Executive Order (GA-34) takes effect next Wed., March 10, 2021. Updated public health guidance from TEA will be coming this week.” (Thursday afternoon)

  • CISD will share any applicable updates to our current practices and procedures as decisions are made.

  • While our community awaits updates from the district, CISD has extended the deadline of the fourth grading period commitment forms to Friday, March 5 at noon.

  • As a reminder, learners can change from in person to remote learning at any time. They need to inform their principals/administrators so they can be coded correctly for attendance and grading purposes.
