Montessori Moments
August 2017
Welcome Back!
The teachers have busily been preparing for the students return tomorrow! They enjoyed meeting all the families that were able to attend Back to School Night as well as visiting with our returning families. Tomorrow is an exciting day for our students and teachers. The teachers will begin rebuilding a strong classroom community, which is essential for student success.
Beginning of School Logistics
Breakfast Procedures
Primary students (3, 4, and 5 year olds) will report to their classroom each morning. The teachers will bring breakfast to the classroom for any students eating at school.
Lower and upper elementary students (1st-5th graders) are asked to go directly to the cafeteria if they are eating breakfast at school.
All students must arrive at school by 8am to participate in school breakfast.

Morning Arrival
In an effort to make morning drop-off easier, we have adults stationed in front of the school to help students out of cars and into the building. Throughout the building faculty and staff are waiting to guide students to their classroom as needed.
For parents wishing to walk their child into school, we ask that you park in either the front parking lot or the parking lot beside the kindergarten hallway. You will find visitor parking in both lots. Parents can access the building through the front door or the kindergarten hallway door.

Dismissal
If your child will be going home as a car rider, we ask that you remain in your car throughout dismissal. Remember to have your car rider tag in your front window. An adult will escort your child to their car. For your child's safety, it is very helpful if all car seats are placed on the passenger side of the car. Thank you for your help with this!
We ask for your patience with the car rider line the first weeks of school. Once dismissal routines are established, dismissal will end by 3:15 each day.

Montessori Fees and Tuition
Tuition Updates
Thank you to all of our three year old families for paying your $100 registration fee. If you have not already paid this fee, you may send a check or come to school and pay with a credit card. All registration fees must be paid by August 25th.
Three year old tuition is due the first of each week if you are paying weekly. Parents may also pay monthly, quarterly, or for the year. We are in the process of having all tuition fees in parent portal. However, at this time tuition fees are not showing up in parent portal. Until this occurs, we ask that you pay by check or credit card. You will be notified once you can pay online through parent portal.
Please remember that in order for your child to be in good standing with our program tuition must be paid by the second day of the school week. On the second day you will receive a notice. If the tuition balance is not paid, the student will not be able to return to school until this has been taken care of. We appreciate your help with this!

Montessori and Magnet Fees
In addition to school fees, magnet programs charge a student fee of $25. This fee is used to offset field studies, purchase Montessori Materials, and provide teachers with materials for special lessons. All four year old through fifth grade families can pay this $25 magnet fee through parent portal.
