Brookwood Elementary's K-4 End of the Year Celebration
Each student will receive a summer gift bag.
In-person students - Bring a blanket or beach towel for the picnic lunch.
Digital students - Come pick up your gift bag on Monday, May 24th from 3:45 - 5:45pm.
5th Grade Celebration Updates
Digital students who wish to participate in the 5th Grade Celebration MUST call the school, so we can be aware of your student's afternoon transportation. Don't forget to wear your mask and bring a water bottle. (Digital students who are not attending the 5th Grade Celebration can pick up their special 5th grade gift bag after their promotion ceremony or on Monday, May 24th from 3:45 - 5:45 pm.)
If you haven't already, will you take a moment to make a $15 donation on My Payments Plus to cover the cost of your student's activities and gift bag. This donation will allow the school and PTA to make this celebration extra special!

It's Time for Kindergarten Registration!
All new kindergartners registered by May 28 will be entered into a drawing on June 4th for cool learning prizes, including Chromebooks, floor puzzles, summer reading book bags, craft baskets, LEGO sets, school supplies, and more!

A Message from Gwinnett County Public Schools about Summer Meal Service
As we prepare for the last day of school on Wednesday, May 26th, Gwinnett County Public Schools would like to remind families about the last days of meal service for this school year.
Elementary and Middle Schools:
- At GCPS elementary and middle schools, meals for in-person learners and curbside pickup will continue through the last day of school (May 26th).
- Limited distribution of meals to digital learners by bus will end on Friday, May 21st.
High Schools:
- Curbside pick-up of meals at high schools will end on Friday, May 21st.
- Limited distribution of meals to digital learners by bus will end on Friday, May 21st.
- High school cafeterias will provide breakfast only on high school exam days, May 24th–26th.
Summer Food Resources and Assistance
- Gwinnett County Public Schools - Information regarding meals during summer school and the K-8 Summer Enrichment and Acceleration program will be communicated with participating families. However, all GCPS families can take advantage of the curbside pickup service for children ages 18 and younger. The meals—both breakfast and lunch—will be provided at 27 middle schools from June 14 to July 2 between 11 a.m. until noon on weekdays. (All middle schools will participate except Five Forks MS and Jones MS, which are undergoing construction.)
- Gwinnett County Community Services is offering free grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches at 25 locations. Curbside pick-up of nutritious meals is for those 18 years or younger or those 19 years of age or older with a physical or mental impairment. Back to School Supply Kits Now Available to Order!
Kits will arrive the week of August 1, 2021.
Free Eye Exams Through the Gwinnett County Public Library
During the course of this event, your child will be screened. If your child fails the screening, a trained and licensed Optometrist will then perform a basic eye exam on your child, and will prescribe glasses if appropriate. You will be informed if your child may need follow-up care.

Bronco Boot Camp for Rising 6th Graders at Crews
Dear Parents,
We are excited to share that we will have our annual Bronco Bootcamp this summer (with COVID guidelines and protocols) at Crews Middle School. The Bronco Bootcamp is a great opportunity for your child to learn about Crews, meet teachers and fellow students, learn curriculum with hands-on activities, tour the building, and feel a sense of comfort and ease about their new school. Summer Reading at Five Forks Middle School
The Five Forks Media Center is offering two incentives to Rising 6th grade FFMS students. Learn more at the Five Forks Middle School Media Center website.
- Take 5 Books for Summer Reading - Students who read three or more books over the summer. Students who return a signed permission slip to participate will be allowed to check out up to five books from the school library to read over the summer.
- Five Forks Summer Reading Bingo - Complete 5 activities in a row for a prize. Complete ALL the activities for an additional prize.

Middle School Summer Career Academy at Grayson Tech
Rising 6th-9th grade GCPS students are invited to spend a week at Grayson Tech for an exciting week of fun-filled career exploration! During the week of June 1 - 4, students can participate in programs such as culinary camp, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, graphic design and more.
