Worthington Park Shark Sentinel

Friday, April 8th, 2022

Dear Worthington Park Families,

Good afternoon everyone. Our students have finally made it to Spring Break. I am incredibly proud of the hard work and resilience our students have shown through the start of spring and this week. Our older students in grades 3, 4, & 5 worked diligently on their Ohio State ELA test last week and our youngest Kindersharks were able to show all they know on their first MAP test this past week.

Needless to say, our sharks have earned a well-deserved Spring Break! For all of those families who are traveling- have a safe and wonderful week. We look forward to having our students back at Worthington Park on Monday, April 18th. Please take a few minutes to review the information below. Go Sharks!

Worthington Park Parent Input Form 2022-2023

Now that we have moved from Winter to Spring, it is time to start planning next school year. Below is a google form where you as parents can provide the school team with feedback on the roster placement of your child.

Please share any additional information regarding your child’s achievement, learning style, and social/ emotional/physical needs that may be included as we discuss your child’s classroom placement for the 2022-2023 school year. The staff will work hard to achieve our goal of creating balanced, optimal learning environments that will help us provide your child with a successful school year. We will be accepting Parent Input Forms until Monday, April 25th.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM INCLUDING SPECIFIC STUDENTS OR TEACHERS YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO HAVE NEXT YEAR.

Ohio State Testing 3rd- 5th Grade

Thanks for preparing your 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students for OST assessments over the past two weeks! Students commented on getting a good night's sleep, having a big breakfast, and feeling ready to do their best! They truly worked hard and persevered through both parts of the ELA section of the OSTs.

Following Spring Break, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will take the Math section of the OSTs during the week of April 18. Fifth grade students will complete the Science portion of the OSTs on April 27 & 28. Make ups will be scheduled, as needed.

Looking for more information about the State ELA assessment? Here is a link to the Parent Resource Folder from the Ohio Department of Education!

Infinite Campus Unavailable April 11-13

Infinite Campus will be unavailable April 11-13 to transition services to Infinite Campus’ data centers. This move will help ensure Infinite Campus has minimal disruptions (outages) moving forward and will help keep our system up to date and secure.

After the move, starting April 14, the webpage link to Worthington Schools Infinite Campus will change. All of the webpage addresses on our Website and parent portals will be updated, but anyone who has bookmarked it will need to update their url. Families who use the mobile app will also need to reconnect the app to our district.

Thank you
