A Message From Mrs. Warren & Mr. Wildey

Dear CCS Families,

This past week we had an awesome chapel for all of our students and staff. It was such a blessing to join together to worship our Risen Savior. Mr. Kevin Ridder, a former CCS teacher and pastor, preached God's Word boldly. Mr. Ridder has a special gift for sharing the gospel. We are praising God that six students asked to pray for salvation after chapel. It is thrilling to see our students choosing to follow the Lord. May you have a wonderful Easter as you celebrate the Resurrection!

"They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus." Luke 24:2-3

Rejoicing in the Savior,

Mrs. Warren

Mr. Wildey

Prayer Garden

Mrs. Bond led the first graders to the garden area and talked about Jesus when he prayed in the garden of Gethsemane. Students were encouraged to find a quiet spot and pray like Jesus prayed.

easter in mexico

In Mexico, instead of hard-boiling eggs to decorate, families blow the yolk out of a fresh egg. Then they decorate it, fill it with confetti or rice and when the children find the hidden "cascarones" as they are called, they crack them over someone's head and say "Feliz pascua!" or Happy Easter! Spanish students made their own cascarones and enjoyed hiding and cracking them over each others' heads!

Combined Elementary & Jr/Sr High Chapel

On Wednesday we had a very special combined chapel that included all grades. James Richardson came from Hartsville Baptist to lead us in worship. Kevin Ridder aka the Fiery Baptist Preacher (FBP) brought his usual brand of thunder and lightning Gospel preaching! Using the proof text of Acts 13, we saw the apostle Paul lay out the history of the world and then juxtapose his view to that of our current society to see the difference. Students saw their sin as an affront against a holy God and the precious truth of the risen Christ as their only hope.
