Our RWHS staff would like to do weekly shout-outs to students who deserve some extra recognition. Thanks for showing and sharing your Winger Pride!

  • Ovation- Even with your fearless leader Perau in & out due to health concerns, you all prepared and performed quite splendidly - Awesome gigs at the Holiday Stroll Friday night. -Mr. Bowes
  • Thanks to the students who dressed in their burgundy on Wednesday or made signs or cards to help the staff surprise Mr. Nemanich on his last day at RWHS before his transplant! -Mrs. Bray
  • Ariah Hauer always has a positive attitude. She works hard and is willing to help other students when she can. She starts her day in my class and it is really nice when a student asks how a teacher is doing/how was the weekend, etc. She is a joy to have in class. -Mrs. Burns
  • Shyane Williams-Rosebear has been a fantastic student this school year. She has been motivated in her academics and engaged in her education. Many staff have commented on her stepping it up this school year and talked about what a joy she is to have in class. -Mrs. Tulip
  • Brennan Rowan is always so kind and respectful! -Mrs. Janet Stewart

  • To all of the students who have been out quarantined but have worked hard to keep up or catch up on their school work- YOU ROCK!

  • Shout-out to Jazz Lab and Ovation for sharing holiday music at the Red Wing Holiday Stroll! -Mr. Wentzler

  • Nisha Catarino Santiago shows Winger Pride every day by working hard in class and by being kind to others. -Mrs. Shannon

Free and Reduced Meal Program

Red Wing Public Schools is encouraging families to complete the Application for Educational Benefits. Students in households that meet the free and reduced-price income guidelines generate additional money for schools from the state. By completing an application and being eligible for benefits, you can help sustain our funding for your child's educational experience.

Additionally, those who qualify for benefits may receive discounts through the Athletics and Community Ed. Department. Furthermore, families may qualify for benefits under the Pandemic - EBT if eligible.

The application is attached and can be completed online, through the food service page at Thank you for your time and consideration.

Application for Educational Benefits SSO - 2021-2022

Solicitud de Beneficios Educativos - Año escolar 2021-22

Do I still have to apply even though meals are FREE this year?
RWPS is encouraging families to apply regardless of the current meal program. This is because families qualify for benefits beyond food.

Where can I access the application?
The application is located on the District website, -- under District – Departments – Food Service – Free and Reduced Meal Program – Apply Online.

Additional questions or concerns can be directed to Director of Student Nutrition Services by phone 651-385-4583 or by email
