HFRCS Newsletter SY2021-2022
October 26, 2021 - Volume 1 Issue 10
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last Friday’s Hawk Walk was a beautiful demonstration of teamwork and inspiration! God blessed us with the most magnificent weather to “hustle” and walk! Our students exemplified the beauty of the rainbow in their colorful outfits and their attitude of positivity and hope. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to our day, especially our Home and School Association and our parent volunteers! I also encourage anyone who has yet to donate to the Hawk Walk to please consider joining us in our Hawk Walk fundraiser! The online donation platform will remain open until November 5, and we are still accepting donations of cash and checks that can be sent into school in an envelope marked “Hawk Walk.” While we have just exceeded our $30K school goal, can we surpass what we accomplished last year and raise $38K? Your generosity in support of our school is always valued and appreciated!
This Friday, our students in grades PK-Grade 3 will be participating in a Halloween Parade (weather permitting). The parade will begin at 9:30, and parents and family members are invited to come and watch. The students will be parading in the field and guests may watch at the fence, just like the Hawk Walk. Teachers will have the classes parade past the fence and will also pose for a class photo, so that everyone can get a shot! We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday for the Halloween Parade!
On Monday, November 1st we will be celebrating the Feast of All Saints. Our school Mass will be at 10:00, so please join us if your schedule permits. We will be welcoming Father Michael Mullan, who will be concelebrating the Mass with Father Cesar, from Queen of the Universe. Also, on Monday, November 1, we will begin wearing winter uniforms. Please see the attached for specifics about winter uniforms and the school uniform in general. While I strongly encourage all students to wear full winter uniform, because we are wearing masks and if your child has a difficulty, polos will also be permitted. It is important that all aspects of the uniform conform to our School Uniform Policy. Teachers will be using a Uniform Violation form to address any issues with school uniform.
Finally, parents are invited to take part in Parent Teacher
Conferences which are scheduled from November 2-5. Please see this newsletter for the dates of conferences by grade. Your child’s teacher will send a sign-up link for you to register for a time for an in-person meeting with your child’s teacher to review progress so far this year, and to ask/answer any questions you or the teacher may have. We value our partnership with our parents, for it is by working together that we can provide the best educational experience for your child.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty
