Once again this coming year, music lessons at Father John V. Doyle School will be offered before and after school. Music lessons are provided by MUSIC Dance.edu (piano) and the Paul Effman Music Service (band and string instruments).

Ms. Rhondae Drafts (MUSIC Dance.edu) is the piano teacher for preK through grade 2. This program "gives students a chance to learn piano in a small group with an upbeat environment. The lessons are energetic, cheerful, and bubbly! The program uses Beethoven Bear and Mozart the Mouse to teach classical musical concepts. Each class is a magical, musical journey where students learn to read music and are introduced to beginning and intermediate music theory."

Older students are offered the opportunity to choose from a variety of instruments through the Paul Effman Music Service: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums, violin, and cello. Catherine Gagnon (Instrumental Director, PEMS) is the lead teacher for these classes. "Learning to play a musical instrument brings so much joy to children... the perfect fusion of creativity, fun, teamwork, and learning. Students will enjoy these skills for a lifetime." (PEMS, 2017)

Monday August 27 - Back to School Night! Parents - please make sure to attend this important evening to pick up paperwork, get info regarding the school year, and meet your teachers & our new pastor, Father Woolley! Doors open for registration @ 6pm; meeting scheduled to begin @ 6:30pm.

Wednesday August 29 - Orientation! Students in pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 6, and new students in Grades 7 & 8 will attend a special Orientation Day designed for their grade level! Parents - please watch your email for information coming directly from the teachers!
