Hello Amazing Families of Heights,

Please read below to stay informed about all of the fantastic things happening at Madison Heights.

Student Showcase Night (April 26, 2023, 5:00 - 7:00 pm)

Please mark your calendars for our Student Showcase Night. This is an event where students lead parents through topics and skills they have learned throughout the year. We are staggering the start times for this event by last name. This allows us to minimize the crowding in the classroom so that families can sit at the tables and participate in their students' explanations of what they have learned throughout the year. It also helps tremendously with traffic and parking. Thank you for adhering to this schedule.

  • Families with Last Names:

    • A-D: 5:00 - 5:30 pm

    • E-K: 5:30 - 6:00 pm

    • L-R: 6:00 - 6:30 pm

    • S-Z: 6:30 - 7:00 pm

Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA)

This assessment was formerly known as the AZMerit Assessment. Students in grades 3-4 will be taking the Arizona Academic Standards Assessment (AASA). Each testing block will be 90 minutes. It is important that students arrive on time. The assessment will begin promptly at 8:00 am. Students who arrive late will not be allowed to enter the testing session and will complete the assessment during one of our scheduled makeup days.

Little Free Library

Did you know that the Heights Little Free Library is approaching one full year of existence? Our wonderful PTO sponsored the building of the Little Free Library and two awesome Heights dads, Brandon Hummel and Kyle Robertson devoted their time and expertise to constructing the Free Little Library for the Heights community. It is located near the sidewalk by the front parking lot. Please talk about it with your child and explain how the free little library works; give a book, take a book or both. Also, stress that they should only be visiting the Free Little Library with their parents. We hope you will make time to visit the Little Free Library.
