March To Your Own Mantra
What are you marching to?
Everyone is headed in a certain direction, as we all are marching somewhere. All of us are marching to the beat of a drum. For some, this drum is the drum of the “ho-hum” life. For others, the beat is more of a personal rhythmic one. This beat is more about their own heartbeat rather than the typical beat of a standard culture sway.
What is your instrument of thought? What does your heart beat for? What mantra have you taken personally and adopted into your everyday life? Why do you march where you march?
These are fantastic thought-leadership questions that will allow you to hone in to your own personal mantra.
Wikipedia says a mantra is “a sacred utterance, a numinous sound, a syllable, word or group of words believed by practitioners to have psychological and spiritual powers. In more sophisticated forms, mantras are melodic phrases with spiritual interpretations such as a human longing for truth, reality, light, immortality, peace, love, knowledge, and action.”
The challenge is for you to obtain your personal mantra. Do some digging. Dig into that deep mind and heart of yours. What do you really desire to march to? What numinous sound would resonate with you? What melody of words could you put together to allow a symphonic sound to your soul? What phrase could you repeat that would have psychological and spiritual powers? What truth do you long for? What combination of wellness words should you put into practice?
Ah, marching to the beat of your own mantra. That makes life more beautiful and fulfilling.
We set a challenge forth. We want to hear what your mantra will be for 2017. Look at these 5 quick steps in marching to your own mantra:
1. Identify your mantra- Bring awareness home, make it personal, relative and doable. Shoot for 5 words or less.
2. Share that mantra- keep it visible all year
3. List how that mantra will manifest in 2017
4. Get accountable - find an accountibility partner or two
5. Give yourself a grade every quarter
