Cause and Origin
Causes are not for sure know but research shows it might be hereditary, genetic, and or environmental. These factors contribute to the development of the disease.
Body System
One of the Body systems to get affect is the immune system because it begins to attack the healthy cells in you GI tract, causing inflammation. It also affects the Digestive and Excretory systems because thats whats getting attacked because the GI tract goes from the mouth to the anus.
Treatment
Anti-Inflammatory Drug such as
- Oral 5-aminosalicylates
- Corticosteroids
Immune System Suppressors
- Azathioprine and Mercaptopurine
- Infliximab, Adalimumab, and certolizumab pegol
- Methotrexate
- Cyclosporine
- Natalizumab
- Ustekinumab
Antibiotics
- Metronidazole
Surgery:
The doctor will remove a damaged portion of the digestive trace and then reconnect the healthy sections.
Prevention
Can not be prevented because theres nor known cause.
