CLASS PLACEMENT:
As we begin the class placement process, please be reminded of the following:
1. Please do not promise parents a certain teacher for next year
2. Please remind parents to complete the class placement form in the main office if they have specific information that should be considered for class placement
3. Remind parents to be flexible and that the team will do a great job matching their child with a great teacher fit.
Thank you to everyone who went to the Spring Party! It was a fun night and a huge success! This is one of PTA's biggest fundraisers of the year, and your support is greatly appreciated.

HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY - APRIL 24TH
Monday, April 24th is Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom HaShoah. The internationally recognized date for Holocaust Remembrance Day corresponds to the 27th day of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar, and it marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
Any teacher who would like to introduce an examination of the Holocaust and the events that surrounded it might want to visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website:
The museum's education team has created helpful resources for teachers – check out their Guidelines for Teaching about the Holocaust. The Holocaust Museum's guidelines page helps teachers methodically examine their goals for teaching about the Holocaust and provides detailed tips for teaching, including:
· Avoid comparisons of pain.
· Strive for precision of language.
· Make careful distinctions about sources of information.
· Try to avoid stereotypical description.

TESTING: IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!! PLEASE READ!
For the next round of STAAR testing, please be sure that you are communicating with Vickie, Alicia, Shanna or Janna about your students' accommodations. You will be given an accommodation chart to fill out for the upcoming subjects on Monday, April 17th. They will be due to us by Wednesday, April 19. Please be sure you are thorough in filling these out. We need these to be accurate and to be set so that we can hire subs and plan for small groups.
