Judaism was originated in Canaan. The founder of this religion was Moses. In this religion, there are many different holy books. Some are The Torah, Tanakh, and the Talmud. Judaism is a monotheistic religion. This means they only believe in one God. They practice about how to live. The code of conduct is the Ten Commandments. In the Ten Commandments, Moses outlined a basis for morality which has lasted over 3,000 years and been embraced by two-thirds of the world's population. 1.) Thou shall have no other gods before me 2.) Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image 3.) Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain 4.) Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy 5.) Honor thy father and thy mother 6.) Thou shall not kill 7.) Thou shall not commit adultery 8.) Thou shall not steal 9.) Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor 10.) Thou shall not covet any thing that is thy neighbor's
Judaism affects people's daily lives because of the Ten Commandments. They follow them and there are a lot of them and they do each and everyone of them. They don't kill, steal, honor the father and mother. They do all of them because that's their way of living. That's what they live by.

They practice going to church and praying to the lord.

Christianity made a big difference on its followers life in a couple ways. One major way was the Ten Commandments about how they had to live. Another way is going to church and what they believe in. Some Christians believe that when the priests bless the bread and wine that they are eating the body and drinking the blood of Christ. The others believe it represents the body and blood.

The place that started the Islamic religion is Mecca. This is where Muhammed heard a voice that called to him telling him he is the messenger of Allah. The holy book is the called the Qur'an (also spelled Koran). The Islamic religion spread throughout the Arabian Peninsula. While under Umar, the second caliph, Muslim armies conquered Syria and lower Egypt. The next 2 caliphs, named Uthman and Ali, continued to spread the Muslim territory. Muslims believe in the 5 Pillars. These are Pillar 1-Faith; "there is but one God and his name is Allah." Pillar 2-Prayer; "Muslims are to pray five times daily facing the city of Mecca." Pillar 3-Alms; "Muslims are to give to those in need." Pillar 4-Fast; "During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims from sun-up to sun-down, refrain from eating to be reminded that spiritual sacrifice is more important that physical need." Pillar 5- "A pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca is to be made if you are able to. This is to be done once in your lifetime." One of the most important practices for Muslims is praying 5 times a day. They pray at dawn, at midday, at afternoon, at sunset, and also at evening. Another big practice is fasting during Ramadan. Muslims bury the dead body the same day as death of the person. Unlike in our area burial with normally take place a couple days later. To Muslims, death is not the end to one persons life but the start to an eternal life.
The Islamic religion affects its followers in many ways. One way is what they can eat. They're not aloud to eat pork. They're also not aloud to drink any type of alcohol. This is because they can not do anything to damage their health. Because of those reasons alcohol is illegal in some Islamic countries. Animals are killed in a specific way and a prayer is said when the animal is killed. Another way that the Islamic religion affects its followers is when they have to pray. They have to make time during their day to be able to get their 5 prayers in for the day. Muslims are affected in their everyday life in many ways. But just like everyone else in the world that's how they live their lives. It's how they were taught from young age to when they die.
