Great Job Bears at Cub-O 2016!!

I don't know if I have ever been SO proud of my Bears as I was at Cub-O this year!!!

It was a tough competition, but our Bears persevered and never gave up! We scored 215 points total - one of the flags we found was the one of the hardest to reach and worth 30 points!! Preliminary results show that we are currently ranked as number 34 out of 45 teams!

Way to go Bears!!!

Our Current Adventure: Bear Claws

Takeaways for Cub Scouts in this Adventure:

  • Understanding that carrying and using a pocketknife at approved Scouting activities is an honor to be given to those Scouts who demonstrate they are mature enough to live up to the responsibility that goes along with this tool.

  • Learning and following safety rules.
  • A Scout is Trustworthy, and Obedient.

  • Learn about three common designs of pocketknives.
  • Learn knife safety and earn your whittling chip.
  • Using a pocketknife, carve two items.
