- Inter-company transfers
Employees transferring from one facility to another must reelect their benefits with the new facility within 30 days of their transfer/hire date. Benefits do not transfer automatically. This is especially important when an intercompany transfer involves the employee's data changing systems (i.e. Destiny to PeopleSoft, etc...).
For those of you who utilize the Benefits Service Center, don't forget to note intercompany transfers on the New Hire Spreadsheet you send to the BSC. This helps ensure that the BSC will administer the transferring employee's benefits correctly, including providing immediate benefit eligibility (when applicable).
There are two fields available to identify a new hire that is transferring to your facility from another AHS facility on the New Hire Spreadsheet:
1. Direct Transfer -yes/no
2. Name of facility new hire is transferring from
For employees transferring from one facility in PeopleSoft to another facility in PeopleSoft, a new "Benefit Event" will open for the employee in My Hub, and the employee will receive an email notifying them to log-in and make any applicable updates allowed.
