awakening retreat scholarship

october 9, 2015

Aloha Silverswords!

Awakening is two weeks away and I don't want you to miss out on a retreat that promises to help you on your faith journey.

I know the cost to attend the retreat is a bit high for some of our students, but I would hate for anyone to not be able to go on retreat because of money. That is why we have a rather generous scholarship fund that the Marianist Brothers and Priests provided to help make the retreat more affordable for students like yourselves.

I have enough money in the scholarship fund to award each of you $20. Please let me know if you would like to take advantage of this scholarship opportunity or use the link below to make a retreat payment with your credit card, the $20 scholarship will automatically be applied.

Awakening has become a very integral part of Chaminade life. It is my prayer that you will be able to share in that experience as well.

May God bless you,

Bro. Brandon K. Alana, S.M.

Why Attend the Retreat?

There are varied reasons why anyone would attend any retreat. We believe that you would want to attend Awakening because you wish to foster new friendships with your peers who share the same faith-based values as you. Others who attend the retreat do so because they need the support of a community to help them grow deeper in their own faith and Christian identity. And for many others, they attend the retreat because they wish to grow closer to God through prayer.

Your reason for attending the retreat will become evident to you before, during or after the retreat experience. My hope is that you do come.

When and Where is the Retreat?

The retreat is scheduled for October 23-25, 2015. We will leave campus between 4:30 and 5 p.m. and return to campus Sunday around 5:30 p.m. The retreat will be at the St. Stephen's Diocesan Center off of the Pali highway.
