The Bragger Bulletin

Elgin Elementary School

Turner's Thoughts

Colleagues,

Aside from my birthday, which I happen to believe should be deemed as a national holiday, Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year! I just love the sounds of all of the festive music, the smells of apple and cinnamon in the air, lights and trees, the quality time spent with family and friends I haven't seen since the previous year, ice skating, the many different holiday parties, but most of all , the true reason for the season. Yes, this time is the most wonderful time of the year. A time to reflect on the past and move towards the future. A time to just simply BE MERRY!

This week's Bragger Bulletin highlights an array of events that have occurred over the past couple of weeks, at Elgin Elementary School. Remember, If you want to brag on something another co-worker is doing exceptionally well, just send me your brags on or before Thursday of each week. You can send pictures, video clips, or basically anything that you want to highlight. Have a great week-end!

Always with teaching and learning in mind,

Felicia Turner

Happy Meals At The Fleming Center

The Sunshine Committee, under the leadership of Rebecca Core, did a super fantastic job at planning our Happy Meal Christmas Celebration. The fellowship and food with our EES' families was absolutely wonderful! Thanks for brining it all together, Ms. Core! Thanks to everyone who helped to set up and clean up for this event!

Check out the 3rd graders from Wagner's class reading to kindergartners. They LOVED it!! Thanks for letting us volunteer in your class, kinder teachers! ~ Ms. Wagner & Class

Christmas Time is Here Again!

Dr. Cotner needs to be complimented again for a “SUPER” 5th grade performance on last Friday at the park & a 3rd Grade performance on Tuesday evening, at Elgin Elementary School. Kudos to 3rd & 5th grade teachers AND Santa Ojeda for supporting Dr. Cotner and the kids! ~ Ruth Becker and the entire faculty staff of Elgin Elementary School

These ladies were super geared for the $3 Thrifty Santa Gift Exchange! Thanks to everyone that participated! It was a challenge to spend only $3, but well worth it!
