Granbury ISD Special Education

October 2021

Fall is Here!!

Fall is upon us! This is such a great time of year with the temperatures becoming cooler and leaves turning colors. The students have finished the first grading period of this school year. Hopefully, all of our students are learning and enjoying their classes. This is a great time to reinforce great study habits and reading time at home.

Supplemental Special Education Services (SSES)

The Texas Legislature has extended the SSES program. The program has expanded the eligibility criteria to include all students receiving special education supports and services. This program will give a one-time $1500 grant to parents of students served by special education in grades Pre-K - 12 who are enrolled in a Texas public school. This money can be used to purchase educational goods and services, such as books, laptops, tutoring, and therapy for their student. This is a first-come, first-serve grant through the state.
