After-School Math Plus Training

Friday -June 24th from 8:30am-4pm

Please Join us for a day of fun and learning!

Come join us as we spend the day to learn how to support our 3-8 grade students as they increase their engagement with math and develop STEM identities. Students engage in fun, real-world mathematics activities and then create an exhibit or event where they have the opportunity to be the educators for the math skills and content they have learned! We recommend teams of 2-4 people from your programs to maximize the benefit of this training!

After School Math Plus Curriculum offers:

  • A standards-based math activity program that is informal and fun, with built -in literacy, science, and career connections
  • Modifications for youth with a broad range of physical, sensory, cognitive, and social/emotional disabilities
  • Student-created math exhibits that are displayed in community-based public spaces
  • Family involvement in the form of information sharing and attendance at a culminating event where students present their exhibits

What will you get you ask??

Cost for training is $20.00 per person, cost includes continental breakfast, lunch and a site curriculum set valued at $99.00
