Ms. Shockley's April Happenings
April Was Fun!
Artwork For Earth Day
We colored a picture of the Earth and glued it to construction paper. We also took rings of blue and green and glued to the paper. We made beautiful artwork for the hallways and worked on colors and patterns.
Earth Day Quilt
We colored pictures and worked as a team to glue them together to make an Earth Day quilt.
Visits from the 6th Graders
We invited each 6th grade class to come visit us after lunch. We used our voice output devices to read the book "Pete The Cat" to our friends. Each student had a part to share.
Planting Flowers
Mrs. Brady, our district Personnel Director brought us flower seeds when she came to read. We went outside and read a book about flowers. We then used our pouring cups and switches to fill the flower pots with dirt and seeds. We also water our flowers every few days in the classroom with our pouring cups.
Having a great time!
We have been listening to some of our favorite songs and playing along to the beat!
Recycling Contest
We helped this year with this years recycling contest. The 6th graders brought bottles and cans to our room and we used our counting devices to help count the bottles for Mrs. Schultheis' class.
