LearningSphere Projects & Project Entry Forms are Due January 25th!
Helpful tips for making your display board great!
1. Student Made. Please make sure that the LearningSphere boards are student made. Display boards are important but your child's understanding and knowledge of their project is the most important.
2. Hand Written. Hand written boards are just as good as typed.
3. Rubber Cement. Unlike glue, items with rubbery cement can be pulled off and re-positioned without any damage to the board.
4. Full Sheet Label Paper or Sticker Paper. Print or write on this special paper and then just peal and stick onto the display board.
5. Voice Typing. If your child is set on typing the information for their boards but can not type, try voice typing. Using Google Docs, you can find this program under the Tools heading. This is a great option for our younger students.
Winter PVU starts Monday, January 22nd

The kids are very excited to help get their class race car moving ahead of the pack! So search high and wide, tell your friends and family to collect and keep those Box Tops coming!

PV helping our soldiers overseas
"I wanted to let you know that your three packages arrived today here
in Afghanistan.
On behalf of all the soldiers and paratroopers of Task Force Geronimo,
the 2nd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, and the 82nd
Airborne Division stationed here, I want to express our sincere thanks
to the elementary school students, their families, and everyone in the
Notre Dame family that made all the wonderful cards, notes, and
bracelets. It was a beautiful reminder of home and why we are all
here. The love, prayers, and support in the Christmas ornaments and
personalized messages meant the world to many of us, especially our
young soldiers who are away from home for the first time. I hope and
pray that everyone who made this possible has a blessed advent, a
Merry Christmas, and a happy new year. Our prayers of thanksgiving to
you for arranging this and the Notre Dame community as a whole.
I'm reminded of the words above the east door of the basilica, " God,
Country, Notre Dame." My wife and I both met at Notre Dame and both
signed up to serve our country in military service. She is a veteran
of two combat deployments and her picture flying her helicopter is
shown every Veteran's day during the television broadcast of notre
dame football games from her last trip over here. We believe in that
phrase and try to live it everyday.
Thanks for all that you do at our lady's university to develop,
challenge, and groom its young people for the world we all live in. I
hope and pray that the university and all its alumni, students,
faculty, and future students continue to the world a better place.
Thanks again for your generosity, your prayers, and your support.
Merry Christmas!"
