The Hoover Helps Hunger Challenge is TONIGHT at the Hoover/Spain Park Football Game! This is the ONE fundraising event of the year for Hoover Helps, a local non-profit helping Hoover children who are food insecure. 100% of the funds you donate stay here in Hoover and will be used to help children in Hoover. 25th Anniversary Celebration

We had an amazing afternoon last Sunday celebrating our first 25 years! The PTA did a fabulous job of planning a fun afternoon for our visitors of all ages. We were excited that Dr. Murphy, Mayor Brocato, and Senator Dan Roberts were able to attend, too. If you would like to view pictures from the past 25 years, click here.

Don't want to send cash or check for Book Fair? Use eWallet! NO CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS BOOK FAIR!! If you want to use a credit card, you must put your information in the eWallet before your child shops! Available NOW until October 24.

  • First, go to our homepage at: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/greystoneelementaryschool
  • Scroll down to the eWallet section - it is GREEN and says "Go cash-free"! Click "Get Started".
  • Scroll down and click "Go to eWallet".
  • Register for an account for EACH of your children.
  • You can print the barcode if you choose, but I will also print it and give it to your children when they shop!
  • Your credit card will only be charged the amount that your child actually spends. For example, if their limit is $20.00, but they only spend $15.00, you will only be charged $15.00!

Be a Champion and Read Contest

Reading logs for this state-wide contest were sent home to K-5 students last week. Students who read 6 books on their level and return the reading log no later than October 28th will receive an Alabama or Auburn bookmark and be entered into the contest for a chance to win 3 tickets to the Iron Bowl! Fire Safety Poster Contest

The City of Hoover is hosting a poster contest for Fire Prevention Month for students in Grades 3 -5. Posters will be picked up at the school on October 30th. Posters should be turned in to Mrs. Richardson at the front desk. Click here for more details and poster contest guidelines.
