Happy Spring!

Albion Elementary Families,

Our students have been very excited to discuss their plans for spring break with me this week at school. Whether you're traveling or staying close to home, I hope that all of our students get an opportunity to spend some valuable time doing the things that they love to do when school is not in session. Thank you for all of the work that you put in at home to help your child to find success here at school.

Petting Zoo Fun

Our kiddos gladly accepted an invitation from the Jr/Sr High FFA department to enjoy a petting zoo experience in their Agriculture department. Thank you to Mrs. Jamie Earnhart and all of her hard working FFA students for taking the time and effort involved in creating this special experience for our students! The pictures below are a few highlights from the petting zoo.

A Message from the School Nurse for Current 5th Grade Parents

All 5th grade students being promoted to 6th grade are required by the State of Indiana to have Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Whooping Cough) and Meningitis immunizations before the first day of 6th grade. These immunizations, as well as recommended Hepatitis A and HPV immunizations, will be available at our April 13th shot clinic at Wolf Lake Elementary and Albion Elementary. The nurses from the Noble County Health Department will administer immunizations to those students who complete and return a consent form. Each 5th grade student received a packet including a consent form, and extra packets are available in the office. We hope that by offering the option to receive required immunizations at school, we can help to reduce missed work days for parents and minimize lost instructional time for students. As an additional service to our families, we will continue to accept consent forms until Monday, April 10th. Thank you and have a safe and healthy Spring Break!

Kindergarten Round Up

Albion Elementary will be holding Kindergarten Round Up on Thursday, April 27 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Any child that will turn five before August 1, 2017 is eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year. Round Up will be an open house style evening with stations for parents and students to visit. Parents should bring their child's birth certificate and immunization records for the school to make a copy.
