Third Grade Math TEKS and Tech

Are you a third grade teacher with a mix of different technology tools in your classroom? Unlock the power of these tools to see where your students are at in their learning process. Participants will look at some of the math TEKS for the third 9 weeks of school and identify the learning outcomes for their students. Then participants will learn how to check for student understanding along the way, quickly and easily, with the use of their classroom technology.

ReDefining Elementary Keyboarding in LISD

Here’s a chance to give your input! As our technology tools have changed in LISD, so has the way in which we need to address the student keyboarding TEKS. Come and be a part of redefining how elementary students learn keyboarding skills. Learn a little bit about what we used to do, how research has changed, and help define how teachers can meet those TEKS today with our current technology tools. Come let your voice be heard - and bring a friend! For K-5th grade teachers

Learning Revealed: Using Technology Tools to SEE Student Learning

Do you enjoy using technology in new ways and sharing what you learn with others? Are you looking to unleash the power of your classroom technology to see where your students are at in their learning process? Participants will learn how to use their classroom technology to check for student understanding during the learning process, quickly and easily. Participants will design learning for an upcoming topic in their classroom. They will then return for a second session to share what they designed with others by creating a chapter of an iTunesU course. (No need to know how to use iTunesU prior to the course.)
