SMUSD Shout Out!
March 2022
A Note From Our Superintendent
Dear Saddle Mountain Unified School District Families,
I hope you and your family are doing well and staying in good health. We are relieved to finally have improvements with the COVID pandemic, with far few cases than seen in January and early February.
The Governing Board is conducting a Community Forum for you to come meet finalists for the position of Superintendent on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 5:00 PM at the Tonopah Valley High School auditorium. The Board invites you to come meet the candidates and provide input for the Board’s consideration.
Construction at Desert Sunset Elementary School is making great progress. The project is on schedule and on budget, which is amazing given supply chain and labor shortage challenges. Check out photos of the school on our website: https://www.smusd90.org/Bonds.
Did you know it’s not too late to divert up to $400 of your AZ income tax liability to SMUSD? You can do so until April 15th. Click here for details: https://www.smusd90.org/Tax_Credits
Thank you for choosing Saddle Mountain Unified School District!
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Tighe
Superintendent
