Please complete a separate form for each of your Brock students.

Week of February 21, 2022

"Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • Our "Essential 36" manner of the week: “Stand up for what you believe.”

  • Mrs. Clifton’s class did a super duper job with our morning announcements last week! Mrs. Hawthorne’s 1st grade class will assist this week.

  • In 1st-3rd Peace Classes last week, Mrs. K. introduced the newest unit of our “7 Mindsets”- “100% Accountable.” Students will begin to take responsibility for their choices, so they can be more in control of their lives and will practice overcoming beliefs that hold them back from their dreams. We read the book What if Everybody Did That?, played a game of “Simon Says”, danced to "That Power.”and had a great time giggling and being together! Brock has kids with real dance skills, and some were even impressed with Mrs. K.’s moves! Of course, there were a few that looked at her like she had 3 heads, but they had fun! The words to that song are very powerful! Mrs. K. was literally jumping up and down when a couple of students made the connection that being “100% Accountable” is much like using Brock’s GRIT, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY!! “WAHOO!”

    • Mrs. K. found another quote that is a keeper!! “To be in your child’s memories tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today.” Barbara Johnson
