Outside Play

If the weather is 20 degrees or colder (with wind chill) students will remain inside. If it is warmer than 20 degrees, you can count on students going outside most days - even for a brief walk. We see the benefits of students being able to get outside and play - both physically and socially. Please make sure your student(s) has warm weather clothes each day!

Winter Cleaning???

Do you have old toys you are looking to get rid of? We are looking for gently used toys for our day of play in February and to build our 'free play' toy collection.

Specially we are looking for:


  • Cars/Trucks & Tracks (hotwheels etc..)
  • Dolls/Puppets/Action Figures/Playmobile
  • Legos or bricks (building items)
  • Sleds/sand castle building items

SOUP-ER Bowl!

We are sponsoring a soup can collection for the Irondequoit Food cupboard! A detailed letter will be sent home in bookbags today!


Please consider joining by:


  • Send a can of soup in with your student(s)

  • To earn a can of soup to bring in, we ask that your student do an act that relates to their “one word” for the year, or a simple act of kindness for someone else

The play offs run from: Monday, January 31st to Friday, February 11th.

Covid Symptoms & 5 Day update

As you know, the rules of quarantine for most of our students has switched from 10 to 5 days. Thank you for your support, as frustrating as it can be, in keeping students home if they have symptoms. If symptoms (like a fever) exist in the morning, they will come out later in the day at school, no matter what medication has been given in the morning. We are required to have students picked up if this is the case.
