Doceri
First-Time Setup Guide
Welcome to Doceri!
To help you get set up with running Doceri on your computer and iPad, please follow the steps below. If you have further questions, please feel free to email us at techcoach@cjuhsd.net and we will be happy to assist you.
First, find the Doceri program on your computer.
For PC:
Go to the start menu
type Doceri in the search box
For Mac:
Click the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
Type Doceri in the search bar
From your search results, click on “Doceri Desktop” to launch the program.
You will then need to create and enter a password. This is needed so that other Doceri users will not be able to login to your Doceri Desktop and commandeer your computer.
Next, you will see the Doceri connection dashboard - as seen in the example below - once you create and enter your password.
Next, go into the App Store on your iPad as seen below. Search for, and download, the “Doceri” app.
Open up the Doceri app on your iPad. You will see the startup screen as shown below. When given the option, select the “through a computer” button.
Doceri will then present you with a screen that opens the built-in rear facing camera of the iPad.
Center the QR code on your iPad screen. Your iPad will automatically connect to your computer and Doceri.
Check your iPad screen to confirm that it is the same as your desktop. If you do see your desktop, your iPad is now a remote control for your computer. The header on the Doceri iPad app has plenty of features that will allow you to enhance the quality of instruction.
