A Newman Institute Invitation
Classes and Opportunities for Recent Graduates
Dear Graduates & Parents,
Congratulations on your graduation from high school! I’m sure you are not only looking forward to summer fun, but also looking with anticipation to your future education. I want to let you know about the Newman Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture and invite you to take part in some of the extraordinary activities and opportunities available to you as a new college student!
The Newman Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture is the inspiration and desire of Bishop James Conley and offers courses in the humanities and liberal arts to college students from a Catholic perspective – to touch the future with the wisdom of the past.
Beginning this fall Dr. John Freeh, D. Phil., will offer a course entitled, “Seekers, Sojourners and Pilgrims” (3 Credit Hours) at the Newman Center (16th and Q Streets, Lincoln) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sections will be taught from 1:30-2:50 and from 3:00-4:20 PM. Please consider this course as you are signing up for courses at UNL this fall.
Even if you are not able to fit this course into your schedule this fall, I invite you to participate activities at the Newman Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture throughout the year! Updated events will be announced at the Newman Center and on the NICTC web page. Check back regularly for course and event updates!
Please contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you, and offer my prayers for you, that the Lord will bless you and your future with much happiness and peace,
Msgr. Daniel Seiker
