TRACY'S MESSAGE
Kia Ora Ano
Last Thursday many whānau in our community celebrated Diwali. The Diwali festival symbolises new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Diwali marks Hindu god Ram’s return to his kingdom after 14 years in exile. It is a time for whānau to come together and celebrate and Diwali also marks a new beginning through the arrival of the new moon.
And speaking of new moons…attached is our 2022 staff run down!
This week our kura is celebrating book character week…this week teachers are swapping classes to read their favorite books and tomorrow we are all going to come as book characters. There will be fun learning activities and we will have a whole school parade in the afternoon! Our learners really enjoy this day that is organized and run by our ranginui learners. We will send out photos on our app tomorrow of our wonderful learners in their book character costumes!
Last week in our newsletter there was information regarding our proposed uniform change. Whānau were invited to share their views with our BOT, we are accepting feedback until Friday 12 November.
Have a wonderful rest of the week and take care.
