Ensuring ALL Students Learn to Their Fullest Potential
Lemoore Elementary School
Principal's Message
Welcome to November!
Trimester one has come to an end and so much has been learned in the first 12 weeks of the school year. The month of November is a time to reflect and express gratitude for those people and experiences we’ve been blessed with in our lives. November is also a time to stop for Veteran's Day and honor those men and women who’ve served our country.
November will bring Fall parent conferences and Thanksgiving Break. It can also be the start of the hectic holiday season that brings changes in school and family routines. Even the time of day and daytime changes as we “fall back” for Daylight Savings!
The Lemoore Elementary students are continuing to focus on increasing reading comprehension. Students will be taking the STAR reading assessment during the first week of the month. Students are encouraged to read at the top end of their reading zone (ZPD) to increase their reading comprehension. During the week of Thanksgiving Break we encourage students to read every day for twenty minutes a day. Reading for twenty minutes each day can greatly increase success.
