News & Updates
Hello CELC & MVLA Families,
I hope you all had a great weekend! My daughter had her second volleyball tournament this weekend. It was a long day but they came out in first place again. We are moving up to gold, which means that our next tournament will put us up against more competitive teams. I love that they continue to grow and be challenged.
EAK is up and running! it was so nice to welcome the newest Cubs on campus. These Cubs have truly amazed us with their school readiness! They are learning daily routines and developing relationship that will help them make both academic and social progress. I can't wait to see how much they grow by the end of the year.
Thank you to everyone for your understanding and support last week as we navigated the days with limited staff. We are hopeful that this week will be better! COVID has brought on so many challenges over the last (almost) two years. However, I am so grateful for how we have managed to navigate as well as we have. We will continue to do our best to maintain a steady, onward motion into the coming weeks.
This week, our Kindergarteners will begin taking their second diagnostic iReady assessment. We are excited to see how much progress they have made over the past couple of weeks. Our TK will be taking their first diagnostic assessment and begin using iReady regularly along with their kindergarten peers. Please make sure that your child brings their Chromebooks to school daily charged and ready to use. EAK parents, be on the lookout for a communication for Chromebook use at home and in the classroom. We are currently still distributing Chromebooks and will let you know when the teacher is ready to implement them.
As a reminder, if your child is out on an independent study contract, please check in at the school office to turn in the paperwork when they return to school. We appreciate your partnership in your child's education.
The District continues to be guided by California Department of Public Health and our experiences from last year. Thank you for your support while we continue to navigate the 2021-22 school year.
Important Updates and Information:
- Please make sure that Chromebooks are charged daily and ready for use in the classroom.
- Please do not change any settings on your child's Chromebook or remove the kiosk mode.
