Busy Week Ahead!

This week has several band activities for students and parents:


Monday (Today): HS Marching Band Rehearsal @ HS Band Room 6:30-8:30pm. This is a required rehearsal. All students must be in attendance unless they are participating in a varsity game. We only meet as a full marching band once during the week for 2 hours. We must have everyone in attendance. Thank you for your understanding.


Tuesday: Band Booster Meeting @ HS Band Room 7:00pm. All band parents (middle and high) are welcome to come to this meeting. It is best to enter through door A12 off the alley behind the high school.


Wednesday: Beginning Band Meeting @ MS Cafeteria 6:30pm. All beginning band parents are encouraged to attend so they can meet the band directors and get information pertinent to the class. Also, there will be representatives from Meyer Music available to rent, sell, and repair instruments. If your student needs an instrument, please plan to attend this meeting. You can enter through the doors by the gymnasium.


Thursday: No band events


Friday: Home (away from home) football game for the HS Marching Band. You will have 3rd quarter off, so bring some pocket change for the concession stand. Also make sure you have a snack/food before you arrive.

Call time: 4:30pm.

Uniform Check: 4:45pm.

Run Through: 4:55pm.

Load Trailer: 5:20pm.

Sock Check: 5:25pm.

Load Bus: 5:30pm.

Line up and Parade: 6:30pm

Performance: 6:45pm

Approximate departure from St. Joe: 9:30pm

Approximate arrival to Berrien: 10:00pm.

*All students need to help unload trailer

** If your student needs to be home in time for religious services Friday night, please have them talk to Mrs. Rosselit on Monday. We are working to provide transportation back to Berrien Springs immediately following the performance for those students who require it.

All Beginning Band students need to have instruments in hand or proof of purchase by Monday, September 16th. If your student needs help getting an instrument, please have them see Mr. Emeigh or Mrs. Rosselit during class.

Calendar Errors

There were a couple of errors in the calendar that was sent last week.


Monday, Nov 4th is Band-O-Rama. Not November 30th.


Wednesday, May 13th is the Spring Concert, Not December 9th.


Also, right now we have the pre-festival concert scheduled for February 17th, a no school day for students. February is a busy month for the gymnasium due to basketball. We were limited on the dates available. We understand the unusual aspect of it and we ask for your understanding and flexibility.
