Global awareness and cultural understanding has never been more important in preparing students to be globally minded citizens as they enter colleges and careers. This online webinar series provides educators the tools to better understand global competence within the educational context, and to improve their own knowledge, attitudes, and skills as globally competent educators.
The series allows for self-reflection, resources, and incorporation of globally focused lessons, assessments, and other instructional materials to better prepare students for the globalized world. Peace Corps works with educators across the United States, providing free quality global education resources through its Paul D. Coverdell World Wise Schools program. The program offers this series to help educators build global competence into their classrooms through its programs.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values
The Mission of the ISTE Global Collaboration Network (GCN) is to provide resources and support to the education community to make meaningful and equitable global collaborations and connections through the use of technology for educators and their students.
Vision:
We are a supportive, inclusive, and caring community where all individuals connect and collaborate globally, feeling empowered to improve the world.
GCN Values:
Collaborators- We work together toward a common mission, empowering students to work with each other through an accessible, interconnected sharing of experience and exchange of ideas.
Globally-minded- We respect diversity and are curious about differences, are culturally aware, understand many perspectives, recognize that time is fluid and measured in many ways, and champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Communicators- We seek to understand, to be responsive, and to amplify each other.
Connectors- We cultivate personal and human relationships because we care about each other.
