The Equation for Burger Bonanza was y=10x+20

The Equation for Pizza Palace was y=9.25x+61.25

1. Describe how you created each equation.

I created the equation into y=mx+b format

one equation was y=10x+20 and the other one was y=9.25x+61.25

b= the one time fee which was 61.25 and 20

m= how much it cost per student

x=the number of students

2. Will there ever be a number of students where both companies will cost the same? Describe the steps you would use and then solve for the number of students for which both companies will cost the same amount.

Yes there would be a number of students where both company cost the same. I found the point of intersection by putting the 2 equations side by side and you solve for x.

3. If you only have a budget of \$1000 for food, how many people, maximum, would you be able to have at the 7th Grade Blowout for each company? Can you have a decimal or fraction as part of your answer? Why or why not?

For Pizza Palace the number of people at the maximum would be 100 and for Burger Bonanza the maximum people would be 50, you can not have a fraction or decimal because you cannot have a decimal or fraction of a person.

## Proposed Plan

I propose that pizza palace would be the catering company for the party. Pizza Palace would be the best company except for when their are 50 students, when their are 50 students Burger Bonanza would be the best company. So overall Pizza Palace would be the best company for catering unless you have under 50 students, if it's over 50 students it would be the best.

The equation for Jumpin' Jack's was y=54x+84

The equation for Hoppin' Around was y=75x

Yes there would be were number of hour’s would cost the same.

Basicly the steps are that you put the equations side by side 75x=54x+84 and you solve for x

For each company you the maximum of 10 hour’s with \$750. Yes you can have a decimal or fraction as part of your answer because you can have partial of an hour

## Proposed Plan

My proposed plan is that Jumpin' Jacks would be the best company except if you want the activity for less than 2 hours hoppin' around would be the best. So overall Jumpin' Jacks would be the best unless you want the activity for less than 2 hours.
