Introduction
Geography and Travel
Romania is located in southwestern Europe. It borders the Black Sea, and is sandwiched between Ukraine and Bulgaria. The capital of Romania is Bucharest. Other major cities are Constanta, Iasi and Galati. Most of these cities have over 100,000 person population.
Romania has mountains and rivers running throughout its terrain. The rivers are now in an important and essential part of Romania. The Carpathian Mountains go from the north to the southwest of Romania. This mountain range takes up about 31% of Romania's land. 33% of Romania is made up of rolling hills and plateaus, as well as valleys. The last third of land is fertile, rich soil, which is used for crops and farming. The most major rivers are the Danube and Prut rivers. Romania has warm, sometimes hot, summers and very, very cold winters. Romania gets snow from December all the way until March. Romania also experiences lots of rain in spring. The lowest temperature in winter reaches up to 26 degrees F. and the warmest in gets is about 80 degrees F.
To get to Romania from DFW, then I would suggest you take a plane. To fly to Bucharest from here, it would cost around $1,340 and it would take about 14 hours to get there.
Government/Foreign Policy
Ever since 1990, Romania and Switzerland have been helping each other out, with the Swiss transporting 140 million Swiss Francs to Romania between 1996 and 2006. In 2005, Romania exported good equivalent to 216 million Swiss Francs. Switzerland was one of the biggest partners of Romania. Ireland also has relations to Romania with an embassy in Bucharest. At the moment, Klaus Lohannis is the President of Romania, with Victor Ponta as the Prime Minister.
Economy
Social and Ethnic Groups
Education in Romania is optional at the age of three, but is mandatory at the age of six. Educational is compulsory until tenth grade there, which is about 17 years old. Then can decide if they want to get a higher level of education. All parents pay about a 40 RON to 450 RON to fund the school. That is equivalent to about 100- so dollars.
Women and men have the same basic rights, such as to own property and be equal to each other. Women are treated fairly and well. Everyone is equal in Romania. At age 18, children are also considered adults.
The literacy rate for Romania is 98.3% for men and 97.1% for women. I would conclude from these rates that Romania has a good education system and that people do learn from their schools. If the literacy rates are low, that usually means that schools are not good, or people do not go to school. Higher literacy rates mean that people know how to read and write, which means they have learned. Romania's social status has been peaceful and calm, and not many big conflicts have occurred.
Religion, Language and Country Flag
Languages spoken is Romania include Romanian, which is 85.4% of all languages spoken. Romanian is the official language of the country. Other languages include Hungarian and Romany.
The Romanian flag has three vertical stripes in the order of blue, yellow and red. The colors on the flag are very important to the Romanians. Blue means liberty, justice is the yellow and fraternity is represented by the red. The first time the flag was created was in 1866.
Traditional Holidays/Festivities, Traditional Food and Clothing
Traditional Dance
Now in days, Romanians wear modern clothes in the cities. They take out their traditional clothing on special nights and festivals. Women's traditional clothing includes of a le, fota and marama. The le is a kind of collared shirt with long sleeves, which has embroidery on it. The fota is a skirt. It is made out of two pieces of either wool or cotton and tied at the waist. Finally, the marama is the head scarf or coverings. Women wear these after marriage. Men wear an itari, which are long trousers, which can sometimes have patterns on it. Men also wear sandals and hats. Children wear the same thing as whatever gender they are, with a few modifications.
Mucenici is a Christian feast, which is a holiday in Romania. People who celebrate this holiday, clean their house and light a fire to bring warmth. It is the date of the start of the agricultural year. Every year, on March 9, this desert is eaten; the Mucenci.

CER Conclusion
Romania's charts show that most of Romania's ethnicity is Romanian and most of the religion is Christian. If Romania were more diverse, there would be different kinds of ethnicities, or maybe different religions. There is a little bit of other religions and ethnicities, but the main ones are those which have been founded in Romania.
Therefore, Romania is not very diverse. As America has such a wide range of variety and different kinds of people and things, Romania does not. That is why I can conclude that not many immigrants come from other countries and continents to Romania.
